Position Description:

Associate Director, Clinical Development and Research Partnership Finance is responsible for overall financial support for Global Clinical Development supporting Oncology. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting clinical development forecasting and analytics, supporting clients and both internal and external stakeholders, conducting monthly close activities, tracking of actuals, and providing full planning, forecasting, and analytical support to oncology collaborations.

Under the guidance of the Oncology Clinical Development Finance Director, the Finance Associate Director will:

  • Provide financial planning, forecasting and analytical support to our Research Department Partnerships, Alliances, and Collaborations Finance and Research Department Oncology Clinical Development Teams

  • Opportunities to present financial information to Senior Management of multiple companies at Joint Alliance Governance Committees

  • Act as the primary Company Finance point of contact with multiple stakeholders including Global Project and Alliance Management, Product Development Team (PDT) Leaders, Alliance Managers, and Third-Party Partners

  • Develop and participate in team presentations for our Company's Governance, including the Late Development Review Committee

  • Own critical components of the Long Range Operating Plan (LROP), Budget, and Quarterly Forecasts

  • Ensure all accounting entries, payments, receipts, including milestones completed are accounted for appropriately according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal and external accounting guidance.

  • Ensure internal control processes are maintained in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act.

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Undergraduate in Business, Finance/Accounting, Science, or Engineering

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of operations or Finance experience

  • Effective with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • MBA or other Masters/PhD in Business, Finance, Science, or Engineering

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop business operations models

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with teams, including Third Parties

  • Proactive approach to problem solving, including solutions at times may be “outside of the box”

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build and maintain diverse client and peer relationships

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Strong computer skills especially working with SAP, BPC, and MS Excel
