Position Description:

The Human Health Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for the Human Health (commercial) division.

The Senior Specialist, Human Health Finance CoE position plays a key role as part of the Human Health CoE and the boarder Finance team. As a member of the COE team, this role is responsible for providing critical financial support for the Human Health Division to make informed business decisions and to help ensure accurate and thorough financial planning and reporting deliverables.

Successful performance within this function requires strong analytical skills, developing an in depth understanding of our Company’s actual and planning systems (FSA, HFM, BPC) and a desire to continuously improve processes.

Candidates must have the ability to analyze and succinctly present financial aspects of complex business issues with a high degree of accuracy and at times under very tight time constraints.

This position reports to the Director, HH Financial Planning and Reporting COE and is located in Kenilworth, NJ. The position is expected to relocate to Rahway, NJ in 2023.

Primary Activities, include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Supporting the month-end and quarter-end actuals reporting process for Human Health

  • Supporting the roll-up and analysis of Human Health’s forecasts, tallies, and long-range operating plan

  • Creation of analytics, reports, and review materials to detail Human Health’s financials for senior management

  • Serving as the Finance point for Human Health Administration and Human Health Finance budgets and liaising with the budget owners

  • Helping coordinate other key financial activities including the intangible asset impairment process, headcount reporting, and SAP master data maintenance

  • Supporting or leading ad hoc projects and analyses in support of the Human Health division or Finance

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in a related field

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA Preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance / Accounting, business analytics, or any other closely relevant experience

  • Strong communication skills and ability to succinctly explain key takeaways from large sets of data

  • Comfortable employing financial modeling methods, tools and IT applications to collect, analyze, synthesize and validate financial data to support complex business decisions

  • Understanding of data analysis that would allow for pre-emptive identification of issues and their implications

  • Ability to adopt and apply new technology and techniques
