What You'll Be Doing:

We are looking for a highly driven and motivated post-doctoral scholar who will spearhead transformative innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and deep learning in the biopharmaceutical drug product development space. The advent of machine learning has created exciting new opportunities to improve drug products and positively impact the lives of patients. Machine learning holds great potential to enhance the speed and robustness of pharmaceutical research and development.

The integration of these new data technologies into the R&D landscape requires further study. The scholar will work in a highly dynamic environment at the interface of drug product development and data science. The scholar will develop innovative predictive solutions to pressing problems encountered in drug development of next-generation therapies for cancer, infectious diseases, and other areas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Bridge data science and AI solutions to pertinent problems in drug product research & development (R&D).

  • Collaborate extensively cross-functionally and cross-departmentally to bring new innovations to bear, by motivating a diverse group of collaborators to leverage their unique skillsets.

  • Leverage computer tools and software to develop new algorithms, which will take advantage of existing knowledge as well as involve paced self-learning of new tools.

  • In developing new capabilities, establish multiple peer-reviewed references in the form of manuscript publications

What You Bring:

  • Candidates must currently hold a PhD OR receive a PhD by fall.

  • A strong interest and high comfort level with computers and software technology

  • Track record of strong work ethic and high research productivity

  • High flexibility and adaptability to further develop and learn new skills in a dynamic work environment

  • Exhibiting a “can do” attitude and willingness to tackle challenges head-on

  • Strong track record in external publication and effective writing skills

  • Most importantly, a strong passion to drive cutting edge science and collaborations for the benefit of patients around the world

It's Great If You Have:

  • Direct data analytics, machine, or deep learning experience

  • Direct pharmaceutical experience

  • Direct imaging/microscopy and image analysis experience
