Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research & Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The projects will be in one of the following areas:


Early Discovery Genetics (2 positions, Cambridge MA or remote):

  • Analysis of large-scale human genetic and genomic datasets to facilitate discovery of novel targets and biomarkers of disease risk and progression

  • Participate in the development of statistical and computational methods/pipelines to analyze genetic and genomic datasets

  • Work within an integrated team supporting validation efforts, including bioinformatic analysis of bulk and single-cell sequencing

Computational Oncology and Immunology (7 positions, Cambridge MA, Boston MA, South San Francisco CA or remote):

  • Analysis, implementation and visualization of network and graph algorithms for the study of interactions among disease-relevant biological networks

  • Analysis of sequencing datasets (e.g. RNA-seq, single cell RNA-seq, CROP-seq) with state-of-the-art methods to better understand disease biology and support target candidate evaluation

  • Data mining of large internal and external databases of molecular modalities for therapeutic discovery, disease stratification, and biomarkers for disease progression.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree program in Biological Sciences or a related field of study. Students enrolled in graduate programs (MS or PhD) are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for 9-12 weeks beginning in May or June of 2023

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have excellent academic achievement and analytical ability

  • Candidates should have ability to demonstrate superior communication and interpersonal skills and should be able to work well in a collaborative team environment

  • Candidates should have interests/experience in ANY of the fields of molecular biology, oncology, immunology, cardiometabolism, ophthalmology, neuroscience, cell biology, or bioinformatics

  • Specific skill sets should include one or more of the following: experience with R or Python programming languages, analysis of bulk or single cell datasets
