Job Description

Our Sourcing team partners with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.

Role Description:

The Data & Analytics Lead manages a team of skilled Data & Analytics Managers, Data Scientists, Category Data Analysts and Business Performance Analysts. The Data & Analytics (D&A) team sits within the Business Operations organization of GSMG and is responsible for supporting the entire GSMG organization with analytics support. The D&A Lead will work closely with the other key areas of the Business Operations team – Process/Policy, Systems Excellence, Sourcing & Contracting, Operational Excellence, and Value Realization. The D&A lead fields escalations, drives the team based on pre-defined SLA’s, maintains a set of data analytics tools, guides and templates, and works with the other areas of Business Operations to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for defining, maintaining and, educating Global Supplier Management Group (GSMG) on process standards, objectives and, protocols
  • Supports alignment of Data & Analytics GSC team performance and activities with GSMG goals and priorities
  • Ensure ability to provide consistent access to the core data needed to drive the analytics. Know the systems, be able to extract needed data, and provide tools to manipulate the data.
  • Leverage the data to develop clear dashboards and other visuals/tools to convey key insights to help inform strategic decisions.
  • Leads definition of Data & Analytics GSC process controls and mechanisms to monitor and ensure compliance
  • Establish, monitor and, report enterprise-level Data & Analytics operation and performance metrics and SLAs tracking and improvement
  • Drive root cause analysis for Data & Analytics process performance issues and establish remediation plans
  • Ensure Data & Analytics processes are conducted in compliance with all internal and external policies, standards, regulations and, predefined SLA
  • Monitors development of templates / guides / playbooks to drive standardized and maintain metrics
  • Represent Data & Analytics GSC capability along with Business Ops Leads in governance forums to:
    • Confirm Data & Analytics GSC strategy is aligned with broader enterprise priorities
    • Obtain relevant senior management support for Data & Analytics process / strategy changes as required
    • Ensure alignment with other Global Process Owners and share best practices
  • Data & Analytics Lead during transition phase activities and in determining ideal FTE distributions across the function as it stabilizes and scales

Qualifications:

  • Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics or Related Fields
  • Preferred – Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics or Related Fields

Experience:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years in Data & Analytics Lead roles within finance or procurement or related supply chain role
  • Project management
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Business intelligence and translation
  • Data visualization (data storytelling and insights generation)
  • Experience on workflow management tools such as ServiceNow*
